ok. so the first time I saw these brushes, i knew, i had to have them. i’m not too sure if it was the fact that brushes will, in comparison to makeup, not suddenly run out, the fact that i am currently growing fond of collecting different makeup brushes, or the fact that the iconic pink bow and hello kitty cup holder is just hella cute, but when you know, you just know.
my fantabulous boyfriend managed to purchase the first hello kitty MAC item bought on kings road on the long awaited 5th of march (i’m thinking he managed to buy the first anything sold by MAC on that day lol) but he surprises me after my interview, and I completely freak out.
initial thoughts:
so they’re alot smaller than i thought they would be, but they were still super cute. was that enough? in terms of aesthetics? yes. incredibly pleasing. pricing? hmmm a little on the steep side, roughly 40 pounds, kinda tipped the necessity scale for such an item. Also, when comparing to original MAC brushes, although there seems to be alot more attention paid to detail (with incredibly brilliant and well spent marketing!), there appears that there is a little less attention paid to the same MAC quality feel. however. i am definitely an avid sanrio lover. and although some may think that it is overpriced for a bit of plastic, i absolutely love this brush set as a collectors item. but for everyday use, maybe return back to your original MAC set >,<
